It is getting to be that time of year again. The Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis will be held Sunday, May 31st, 2009. Take note of the new venue as we have out grown the shack at the Forestry Farm. Our goal is to raise more than $22,ooo.00, which was the amount we reached last year. Please join us as walkers, pledgers or volunteers to help us get closer to a cure and a continued hope for those living with CF. Jump, Jive & Wail

On February 24th, 2009 a fundrasier for Cystic Fibrosis was held at the Odeon Events Centre in Saskatoon. As you can tell by the photo I spoke at the event, by sharing my story and life lived with CF. My opportunity to speak about Cystic Fibrosis comes at least once a year. I am happy to educate the public about this disease and to share the hope there is for the future of those living with CF today. Thank you to those that support a cause that has touched my life and my families lives in such a personal way. I have been blessed beyond measure and pray that others livng with Cystic Fibrosis will achieve their goals and dreams someday.

Thursday August 21st I started a 2 week course of IV antibiotics. After a rough winter and busy summer I was in need of a tune-up. A picline was inserted into my arm where I administer the antibiotics myself in the comfort of my own home. My last IV antibiotic treatment was 14 years ago, so no harm in a tune-up to help get my priorities in order.

Hello everyone, my apologies for not checking in and updating my information. It seems this year has been never ending projects or events. These next two weeks I will fill you in on past family events and my current status.

Barbara's Pit Crew says Thank You

Finally an update. Inspite of the cold, windy, 9 degree temperature the Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis went fabulous. Thank you to everyone for your generous pledges on behalf of our team. Together with 40 other registerd walkers here in Saskatoon we raised $21,700.00 for Cystic Fibrosis. All proceeds go directly to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation which helps aid research towards a cure or control for CF. I will post photos of the walk soon.
